The Diet Solution Program-Does It Really Work?



                  Are you tired of trying many diet plans while are well reviewed but never seem to work out for you? Are you looking for a diet plan which is personalized for you to get a maximum effect? Then, what I’m going to talk about may be just what you need to take a look at. Here is my review of the Diet Solution Program by Isabel De Rios. I’ll explain what distinguishes this program from others and how its approach gives a boost to the percentage of people who work out well with this diet.

                 I want to give you a little background on how I first came in contact with this program. I was an overweight physician. I know that being overweight can bring so many health problems as you can possibly imagine. I consulted with numerous nutritionists and trained with exercise experts. May be it was just that the extra fat on my body was more stubborn that that on anybody else’s, I would lose 20 lbs in two months and then that was it, no more weight loss. The frustrated me just ate more and more again to compensate my unrewarded hard-work only to gain those 20 lbs again! But then, a friend of mine, a nutritionist, came to me and said, “Hey, may be you might want to take a look at….”. And, that was The Diet Solution Program. I have been on that diet for nearly ten months and I have lost 58 lbs so far! This is the best result I have ever had yet! But, of course, like every diet plan, this works out just great for me but it may not be working on my neighbor next door. So, what I’m going to do is to give you the pros and cons of this program and let you figure it out yourself whether you want to give it a try or not.

                 I’ll start with a quick overview of this program and who the author is about. This program is a 96 page long e-book written by Isabel De Rios who is an internationally recognized certified nutritionist and exercise specialist. This book is about weight loss but if you are expecting to find information on “how to lose 14 lb in 10 days”, I have to tell you that you’ll be immensely disappointed because this diet plan is about changing your diet plan permanently and targeted for long-term weight loss. However, if your goal is to stay healthy and lose weight for a life-time effect, this program fits your profile.

                 The book contains a questionnaire to determine the type of body metabolism you have. According to the book, there are three different metabolism types which are why some diet plans bring magic effects to some people and not to all people. Then based on the type of metabolism you have, it builds you the die plan which suits you the best. So, instead of all the typical one-size-fits-all approaches of many diet plans, this program offers three “sizes”, meaning there are more chance of having a more individualized and effective plan for us. The book also includes the specific types of food you should eat and those you shouldn’t and the list may surprise you because there are so many misconceptions about eating the right food for your body! A handy shopping list and a 20 day meal recipes are also included in the book. Now, brace yourself for the cons and pros I’m going to talk about.

The Cons:
1)     The terms used in the questionnaire to determine the metabolism type can be confusing and a bit out-of-reach.
2)     The organic food suggested to include in your diet plan can be a bit expensive.
3)     The book doesn’t cover exercise at all.
4)     The page numbers on the audio files don’t really match the page numbers on the book. So, it’s kind of frustrating to look for the topics she’s talking about.
5)     I wasn’t sure if I should include this as a con but I have to say that this diet plan is not a magic potion for everyone and even for people whom the diet plan works well, it will take time to lose weight. You won’t see dramatic effects in a short time.

The Pros:
1)      Types-of-metabolism approach is really eye-opening and can be very effective.
2)      Unlike your normal diet meals, the meal recipes contain tasty and healthy food which can be consumed in quite a large amount and yet, helps you lose weight.
3)      The book clears up many wrong ideas we have about diet plans and let you know exactly what types of food keep you fat.
4)      It also gives you comprehensive information on nutrition and provides specific types of food your body needs so that you don’t have “diet-plan-symptoms” such as bloating and fatigue.
5)      The quick start guide is very informative and summarizes everything you need to know about your diet.

                   Now, there you have it! Your pros and cons. For me, I think that the pros outweigh the cons by a mile since I rely more on eating habits than on exercise to lose weight and the questionnaire is not a big problem for me. And, I emphasize more on a permanent weight loss, even if it's slow, than a fast weight loss that doesn't normally last. So, my conclusion is that if I had overweight parents, I would definitely recommend this diet solution program to them. This is the most honest answer I can give you. It has helped me lost weight successfully and here's hoping that it will help you get to your ideal weight as well.
